Use Restroom Trailers, Waste Receptacles, and a Dining Area for a German Festival

If a German music, food, and beer festival is being held on your restaurant's property next month, there are a few ways that you can provide your clients with comfort and convenience during their visit, which will likely result in them staying throughout the gala. Each of the features are designated for outdoor use, which will keep foot traffic at bay so your restaurant doesn't get dirty during the festival.

Add Restroom Trailers and Changing Areas

Food and celebrations often are associated with the overindulgence of treats. Since a wide bevy of foods and ales are going to be served, you can bet your life that many of the visitors will need to relieve themselves at some point.

Purchase or rent a couple small restroom trailers. Restroom trailers do not need to be connected to your establishment's main sewer line. Instead, a holding tank will be attached to each trailer and they will each collect and store liquid and solid waste from the trailers. For more information, contact a company that rents these trailers, such as AMS Global Inc.

You will also want to buy a set of changing tables and place one inside of each trailer so that people who bring along their babies can change diapers in privacy. Designate a restroom trailer for men and a trailer for women by installing a basic gender sign in front of each trailer. Then set up some trash cans around the perimeter of each restroom trailer so that patrons can dispose of garbage after using the facilities.

Create a Seating Area and Add Temporary Fencing or a Panel

Having a place for your guests to sit down is important, especially if you are going to be offering live entertainment. Preplan the layout of the festival so that your guests will be within view of any demonstrations or live acts, but will still be near the restroom trailers. If you think that it will be tacky for your guests to observe individuals entering and exiting the restroom facilities, secure temporary fencing around the trailers or install a lightweight partition panel between the dining area and the restrooms.

Once you have the bathroom area set up, you'll want to focus on what the event is really all about: food. Have some of your waitstaff take orders from the clients and serve them tableside. If you are hoping to create a more casual atmosphere and food booths are being used at the event, advertise the types of food and beverages that will be sold so that people will have a rough idea of what they can expect to be greeted with when they arrive at the festival.
